Krista Nordback

Krista Nordback has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering (Geological Engineering) from the University of Minnesota.

In the past, Krista has worked in consulting geotechnical engineers while specializing in tunnels and dams.  She has also obtained her Colorado Professional Engineer’s License (Registration No. 37322) and has worked with the City of Boulder’s citizen Transportation Advisory Board.

Research

Krista’s specific area of interest is bicycle transportation.  She is currently working on a research project that aims to estimate bicycle miles traveled in Boulder, Colorado and assessing bicycle safety.  She previously authored the paper “Automated Bicycle Counts: Lessons from Boulder”.
