Rick Newton, MBA
Mr. Rick Newton teaches courses in Business Consulting at the Bard Center. He has a track record of transforming businesses into world-class industry leaders. He has more than 30 years of multi-industry experience ranging from startups to Fortune 10 corporations. He has had extraordinary success with these projects during his career as a Corporate Intrapreneur and Consultant to Entrepreneurs, gaining international recognition for the high-growth results he has helped companies achieve.
Mr. Newton started his career as a "rocket scientist" with the US Air Force and National Bureau of Standards. He is currently focusing on private investor financing for business ventures, and he has organized numerous instructional and lessons-learned events for angel investors. His areas of specialty are operations audits and due diligence, and he is an expert in examining best practices as applied to all areas of business, as well as in compiling and analyzing comprehensive lists of symptoms, root causes, required actions, and associated costs and benefits of problems that emerge during new business development efforts.
Mr. Newton has an MBA from the University of Colorado and an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.
