How to Enroll
Prospective Students
Students who take advantage of the Bard Center's educational programs and services join a community committed to entrepreneurial excellence. The Bard Center is focused on taking entrepreneurship from the classroom to the real world and delivers hands-on learning opportunities for students in all areas of entrepreneurship. In fact, students have a firsthand opportunity to learn from and build strong relationships with entrepreneurs and leaders from the business community. The ultimate goal is to provide an environment and resources that enable students to pursue their business dreams through corporate innovation or the creation of new businesses.
The Bard Center's graduate-level entrepreneurship courses can be applied as elective credits toward a graduate business degree at the University of Colorado Denver, as well as toward other graduate degree programs at the university. Students not enrolled in a degree program at the university must have an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university in order to apply to take Bard Center courses.
Students also have the opportunity to earn a Certificate in Entrepreneurial Studies, which enables them to demonstrate their specialized expertise in areas of entrepreneurship. Certificate holders can enhance their professional credibility or gain the knowledge and confidence they need to start their own businesses. To obtain a Certificate in Entrepreneurial Studies, students must take three Bard Center courses, including one of the following: The Business Plans (formally Business Plans and Seed Financing), or Business Planning for Social Entrepreneurs; one of the following: Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship, New Concept Development or Entrepreneurial Financial Management; and one of your choice.
In addition to its entrepreneurial curriculum, the Bard Center also hosts an annual business plan competition, manages a fund to help launch student-initiated business ventures, and offers incubator space to entrepreneurs who are starting businesses.
