Phi Chi Theta
A National Professional Business and Economics Fraternity

What is Phi Chi Theta?

PHI CHI THETA is a national business fraternity for students in business and economics, which strives to accomplish the goals of individuals in business. It is much more than a club or society. It is an organization that provides a local and national network to share resources, ideas and concepts along with providing an opportunity to practice leadership skills necessary to succeed in a business community. It is an organization whose membership instills values, success and self-esteem, which will enable participation in a rapidly changing world. It means developing friendships that last beyond graduation!

It is a Professional Organization

PHI CHI THETA'S primary interest is PROFESSIONALISM, both as an organization and in its members. However, here at the Gamma Iota Chapter, SOCIAL and CHARITABLE activities are emphasized as well. We believe that time spent in developing friendships with sisters and brothers is beneficial for the present as well as the future.

It is a Greek Letter Fraternity

PHI CHI THETA follows the customs of Greek letter organizations - e.g. it conducts rushes, pledging, initiation ceremonies, etc. These customs strengthen the bond between members and deepen their dedication to the ideals of the fraternity. The pledge period gives new members time to learn about Phi Chi Theta before undertaking the responsibilities and accepting the privileges of initiated membership.

What is Phi Chi Theta's Purpose?

To PROMOTE the cause of higher business education and training for all individuals.
To FOSTER high ideals for everyone pursuing a career in business.
To ENCOURAGE fraternity and cooperation among people preparing for such careers.
To STIMULATE the spirit of sacrifice and unselfish devotion to the attainment of such ends.

Who Can Pledge?

PHI CHI THETA membership is open to all students working towards a degree in business or economics who have completed at least 15 semester hours of college credit courses and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and are in good standing with the college. Freshmen are encouraged to pledge.
