Dean's
Search
Hello, CAM Students!
I thought you might want an update on the search process for the new Dean for
CAM. The Committee will be meeting for the first time on Friday, September 16,
to re-start the search process. Provost Mark Heckler has approved the employment
of a national search organization to help in our search process. These organizations
will really help us reach out both nationally and internationally to insure that
we secure large and very diverse group of highly qualified individuals. This
particular search firm has done numerous and highly successful searches for Deans
in the past, and we are very excited about the prospect of hiring a Dean of National/International
stature.
When we bring these individuals to campus we will need your input and attendance
at the meetings of the candidates with students. We highly value your thoughts
and participation in this process. A new student search committee member will
be appointed very shortly, and I know this individual will be requesting your
involvement during the months that follow. Get involved!
Have a wonderful semester, and stay tuned for updates on this exciting process.
The search's success is vitally important to CAM's future.
