SUMMER 2007 NEW STUDENT ORIENTATIONS
During the Summer 2007 New Student Orientations, the College
of Arts & Media (CAM) will present information on the
College, its student clubs and community involvement, and
an in-depth look at the Arts & Entertainment Industry,
both currently and projected through the year 2010.
Students entering the College of Arts & Media (CAM) for
the Fall 2007 semester are encouraged to do their advising & registration
individually.
There will be LIMITED advising/registration for
CAM students during the summer Orientations. This
is due to the fact that CAM classes fill up very quickly,
and if students wait until Orientation to register, they
will most likely find that their desired courses are already
full.
The easiest way for students to get advising is to email
the CAM advising office at CAMadvising@cudenver.edu. Response
time is usually 48 hours. Students must include their student
ID# and major.
In addition, freshmen are encouraged to
download advising sheets & sample schedules from the
CAM advising website: www.cudenver.edu/cam/advising. The
sample schedules give incoming freshman a possible template
of semesterly schedules so they can begin registering as
soon as possible. Students should be sure they are
downloading advising sheets for the 07-08 academic year.
Transfer students should consult a CAM advisor (CAMadvising@cudenver.edu)
to find out how their transfer credits will be applied towards their degree
progress, and the best courses for them to enroll in their first semester.
Students may also schedule an advising appointment by calling
303-556-2279. Appointments times fill up quickly, and
students can anticipate waiting up to 3 weeks for an appointment. Although
walk-in advising is available Monday-Thursday (call 303-556-2279
to get the daily schedule), walk-ins are first-come, first-served,
and are limited to 15 minutes. Walk-ins are not recommended
for new students (freshmen or transfer).
