      This article it's a recent interview with Irish Dj/Producer David Holmes. The author inquires Holmes about his latest mix album Come Get It I Got It, the experience of working in the Los Angeles with an all-star roster of session players, and his love for Belfast, Holmes' hometown. Additionally, Woolsey's article includes some biographical information about Holmes. [Andres Ponce]

      This interesting piece begins by giving the reader some of Holmes' biography as a world recognized Dj/Producer/Musician/Record Label founder. The second part of the article focus on how starting from Holmes' success, the Belfast music scene has witness a huge revival, leading to the foundation of the Northern Ireland Music Industry Commission to legally represent their artists. The article also gives an overview of the hottest musical acts in Belfast today.       The article is one of the first about U2.  It discusses the early punk influences and the political origins of the band which are deeply embedded in the politics that were influencing Northern Ireland at the time.  It discusses the relationship between rock and roll and philosophy.

Farley, John.  Rock Me, I'm Irish.  The Growing Popularity of Irish Rock Music Groups.  Time:  April 5, 1993/V 141, n14, p53.
      The article is about emerging Irish rock groups that are gaining an international following.  It discusses the bands' music and their relationship to traditional Irish music as well as rap and reggae influences.

Maillot, Agnes.  Punk on Celluloid:  John Davis' Shell Shock Rock.  Historical Journal of Film, Radio and Television.  August, 2000.
      The punk movement thrived in Northern Irish music, but it was different from the punk music in other countries. It reflected the creativity of the musicians, but it also created a scene and atmosphere that had its own characteristics.  It did not become commercial as it was in England an other parts of the world.

O'Conno, Nuala.  Bringing It All Back Home.  BBC Consumer Publishing Books, 1991.
      The book traces how Irish music traveled to England and America, adopted the characteristics of those countries, and then returned to Ireland.  It brought with it a richness and diversity that is seen in modern Irish rock.

Prendergast, Mark J.  Isle of Noises:  Rock and Roll's Roots in Ireland Including Van Morrison, U2 and Sinead O'Connor.  The O'Brien Press, 1987.
