UCD A Cappella Voices is an intermediate singing group of 20-25 voices that perform a range of a cappella styling, from du-wop to contemporary music.  This group provides a strong foundation in contemporary choral and a cappella styles, and is an excellent preparation for entry into The Ninth Avenue Singers.

The Ninth Avenue Singers, directed by Erin Hackel, is an elite group of mixed voices, performing a cappella music in many genres, from pop to gospel to jazz.  This UC Denver signature ensemble performs at UC Denver’s commencement ceremonies and other official UC Denver functions.  Seven performers from The Ninth Avenue Singers are chosen each semester to sing with The UCD Seven, also directed by Hackel, a competitive a cappella group that performs primarily original arrangements in preparation for entrance into the annual Rocky Mountain Harmony Sweepstakes Competition.
