Digital Visions is a University of Colorado Denver digital video student exhibition and features work from the Colleges of Arts & Media and Liberal Arts and Sciences.
Utilizing the Macintosh computer as an editing and compositing tool, students at the University of Colorado Denver explore the artistic potential of digital video and motion graphics as an art form and as a means of communication. Using implied associations made by the juxtaposition of image with image and image with sound these artists reveal and confront issues people face in today’s challenging world. Embracing such topics as gender roles in our society, sexual evolution, personal identity, environmental and political issues, this screening explores the needs and concerns of today’s youth. Submission categories include animation, experimental, promo/intro/trailer, comedy, documentary, public service and narrative. Adobe, Avid and Apple software prizes will be awarded for best of show in each category.
