Commercial Voice Program at UC Denver
An alternative to the classical conservatory…for singers who don’t want to sing opera and art songs…
UC Denver offers one of the only Commercial Voice programs in the country. Our voice teachers are trained to help your voice grow in the styles you want to sing in. Offering instruction in contemporary music styles, including jazz, pop, rock and musical theater, we’ll help you explore ways to make your singing the best it can be in the genres you want to sing in. Actively performing in the Denver area and beyond, UCDs faculty can give you the performance opportunities and direction you need to help you toward a career in music.

The UCD 6 attended and competed in an A Cappella clinic and competition in late October 2009 hosted by Mile High Vocal Jam, and won the Runner-Up prize. They placed over several collegiate a cappella groups, including ones from CU Boulder, DU and the Air Force Academy. There were 5 large high school groups also competing, and all were just buzzing over the UCD 6; they even asked them for autographs!
The 2009 Harmony Sweepstakes Audition Committee announced on February 2 that our own UDC 7 is one of the finalists in this year's Rocky Mountain Harmony Sweepstakes Festival! The UCD 7 will compete on March 21 for the Rocky Mountain Championship held this year in the King Center Concert Hall on the Auraria Campus!
