GPA Calculation Instructions

To calculate your grade point average (GPA) you multiply the number of grade points per credit hour by the number of credits for each course. Then total the credits and divide the grade points by the credit hours. Course taken on the Pass/Fail option are assigned no GPA points. Also, courses taken though Metro-pooled courses are not calculated into your GPA. Your GPA is based on graded-course work completed at any University of Colorado Campus.

Total grade points divided by total credits equals cumulative GPA. Remember that Metro pooled or transfer courses will not apply to your UC Denver GPA. So the GPA for the above schedule would be 2.3 (C+ Average). Don't count grade points for any classes taken pass fail or through another school. Do count the number of credits for a class failed.

GPA = Total grade points ÷ total credits attempted
