Research Opportunities for Graduate Students
The Biology Department consists of a small highly-qualified and dedicated group of faculty who sponsor thesis projects in their areas of expertise. They have attracted extramural research support from a wide variety of sources, including:
- the Environmental Protection Agency;
- the National Science Foundation;
- the National Institutes of Health the U.S. Forest Service;
- the National Park Service;
- and private agencies.
The department occupies modern, well-equipped laboratories on the Auraria campus in downtown Denver. There are also many opportunities for field research. The faculty and their specific areas of research are described on the Faculty Page.
