New Auraria Science Building Under Construction

Under construction now, the new Science Building addition will be located on the eastern edge of the existing Science Building site located off Speer Boulevard on the Auraria Campus.  The new four story structure will sit next to Speer Boulevard and will add 197,000 square feet of classrooms, science labs, and offices. 

The existing Science Building (142,000 square feet) is a three story structure that will also be renovated as part of the overall project designed to address current and future needs for Biology, Chemistry, Anthropology, Earth Sciences, and Math & Computer Sciences as well as teaching and research labs for the Community College of Denver, Metropolitan State College of Denver, and the University of Colorado Denver.
