Mentor at-risk youth and get free office or lab assistance
Sign up by May 18 to give at-risk kids an opportunity to work and learn in your department’s setting. For more information, visit the student employment website. The Dean’s Office is hiring a youth through this program; don’t miss your opportunity to do the same in your department.
Email outage
Scheduled for Monday May 7-Friday May 11, 8pm-10pm
In order to improve email performance, IT Services will be moving Exchange mailboxes for people with the last names beginning with "F-H" to a new storage group(database) on the same server. Expect intermittent mailbox connectivity with outages of no longer than 15 minutes during this time period, as your particular mailbox is moved. You may be asked to restart Outlook. If you are unable to connect to your email after 10 PM, please restart Outlook and re-connect or try restarting your computer. If you are still unable to connect to your email, please call the UCDHSC Help Desk at (303.315.4357). A full list of outages is available. SUMPs grant proposals
Due June 1
The Senior Upwardly Mobile Professors (SUMPs) Grant Program proposals will be due June 1, 2007. Awards will be made as close to June 30, 2007, as possible. Funds will be available July 1, 2007, and must be expended by June 30, 2008. (Information)
3rd Annual Undergraduate Experience Symposium
Research, Internships, and Service Learning
The Undergraduate Experiences Office in coordination with the Center for Faculty Development and Academic and Student Affairs is pleased to announce that the 3rd Annual Undergraduate Experiences Symposium will be held on Friday, October 5th, 2007. The symposium is being planned around three themes of student engagement: Research, Internships, and Service Learning. We look forward to seeing you there, so please mark your calendars.
