New! Making the Name Change on the Web
Updating to UC Denver
Now that the university has defined style usage for the permanent name, CLAS webmaster Teri Hoyer has begun the process of changing our Web pages. You'll notice that the banner images have already been replaced. Over the next couple of weeks, Teri will process search and replace functions on departmental pages. Anyone with responsibility for editing web pages should be aware that files will need to be available (i.e. "Published" or "Checked In") in order for this process to be effective. If you would rather make the changes yourself, please let Teri know immediately.
New! Democratic National Convention
Auraria Campus Plans for the week of August 23-29
AHEC has released a web page designed to provide information regarding the Auraria Campus during the upcoming Democratic National Convention (DNC) in August of 2008. The web page contains questions and answers about how the campus will function during the DNC. It will be updated periodically, as new information is made available.
New! Proposed Tobacco Ban on All CU Property
Survey deadline is November 19
There will be a series of steps in the coming weeks and months to gather input from our campus communities about the issue of a proposed tobacco ban on all University of Colorado property (indoors and out).
As the Nov. 5 memo to the campus community related, Regent Michael Carrigan has asked the administration to help facilitate this process. The steps include an anonymous, web-based informational survey, meetings with governance groups and campus open forums. The information gathered will inform the Board of Regents as it considers the issue.
Follow the link to the survey, which will take about five minutes of your time. Access to the tobacco survey is restricted to university campus locations or through your university VPN. If you have questions, please contact your local Desktop Support personnel. If you continue to have problems accessing the survey, please e-mail the CU system webmaster.
The deadline for completion is Nov. 19. Results will be posted to the CU system web site the week of Nov. 26.
