FCQ website and Denver FCQ Data Requester
Need FCQ data? A quick reminder that FCQ results for the Denver campus are available online. Just go to the FCQ website and click on "CU-Denver results" in the far left column (under "Related Links").
The Denver FCQ Data Requester that comes up has FCQ results from spring 2002 - fall 2006. View and download course-section data by instructor, course, department, or college. View data in your web browser or download into an Excel spreadsheet. This is a powerful tool for FCQ data retrieval and analysis.
The Denver FCQ Data Requester also has a link to "Aggregate stats & averages", an Excel file with descriptive statistics over the last 3 years by college, course level, and instructor group, as well as a conversion tool (to convert old A - F ratings to the new 1 - 6 scale).
CLAS campus-wide elections
Please email your nominations by April 16
It’s spring again, and that means it’s time for faculty nominations and elections for committees at the college and campus level! Please have a look at the attached list of committee membership and vacancies, and nominate yourself or others (having checked with them first, of course) for vacancies. Please email your nominations to Mary Coussons-Read by Monday April 16. Do you have questions about committee focus, workload, or anything else about these committees? Please email Mary or call her at 303.556.6665 and she will help. Ballots will be distributed no later than April 20, and voting will occur in the following week. Also, if you are already serving on a committee and see an error in your term or have questions about your term, please contact Mary ASAP. Thank you for your participation and willingness to serve!
Call for volunteer faculty lecturers this summer
Lunch, Learn & Link
In an effort to increase awareness about CLAS and create connections with the business community, Dean Harbor has planned a summer program lecture series with the Downtown Denver Partnership (DDP). Skyline Park, located between 15th and 16th between Lawrence and Arapahoe (by the Palomino Grill) is where the program will take place. The DDP will handle the advertising of the lectures with the downtown business community, and CLAS will provide logistical support for the events. Attendees, while listening to a 15 minute presentation from one of our faculty members, will eat their lunches, then link up in small groups to discuss the presentation for another 15 minutes, followed by a short period of Q&A with the full group and faculty member.
Please contact Katy Brown by April 20 if you are interested in participating as one of the lecturers, and please also provide some topics that you think would be interesting to the business community.
Center for Faulty Development
Accepting grant proposals through April 30
The Center for Faculty Development is encouraging downtown Denver campus faculty to apply for faculty development grants by April 30. The grants are intended to enhance the quality of teaching and/or research/creative work. See the Call For Applications for more details.
