B.A. with Teaching Licensure
Students seeking secondary English teacher licensure may pursue a
BA in English literature with a restricted literature option. This enables
them to complete their English literature major as well as fulfill requirements
for licensure at the undergraduate level.
You will complete a your English major and then complete the School of Education's Initial Professional Teacher Education (IPTE) requirements. The process requires that you work with your advisors through the process. The requirements can be completed within the time-frame of a typical undergraduate degree -- but ONLY if you plan early in your degree process.
