Mission of the Research and Creative Activities Symposium

The purpose of the Research and Creative Activities Symposium is to promote and showcase the scholarly activities of undergraduate and graduate students, celebrate the creative process, foster professional development through academic excellence, promote and showcase collaborative efforts among students and faculty, encourage interdisciplinary scholarly activities, establish and build connections with the community, and celebrate and foster diversity at UCD.

Each year up to eight students are selected to receive Outstanding Research and Creativity Activities Awards and the Chancellor's Award for Excellence.

English Student Participants

Cooper Nickel StudentsLEFT: Christopher McDermott and Sharron Harris won a UROP grant to develop marketing and branding strategies for the Copper Nickel, a journal of art and literature published by the students and faculty of the University of Colorado Denver. Their research and exhibit was recognized at the Research and Creative Activities Symposium with the Chancellor's Award for Excellence.
