History has much to offer many areas of study. For that reason, our faculty contribute expertise and teach courses in a variety of inter-disciplinary programs.
Historic Preservation
In conjunction with the College of Architecture and Planning, our department offers an 18-credit-hour graduate certificate in historic preservation.
International Studies
This interdisciplinary liberal arts degree is designed to offer students a thorough education in international issues while preparing them for global careers.
Women's & Gender Studies
Women’s and Gender Studies (WGST) is an interdisciplinary program offered either as an undergraduate minor or a graduate certificate through the Master’s of Humanities and Master’s of Social Sciences.
Graduate Interdisciplinary Studies
The Master of Humanities and the Master of Social Science degrees combine fields such as History, Philosophy, Cultural Studies, Film, Women's Studies, Public Policy, American Studies, Fine Arts, Sociology, Literature, Anthropology, Communications, Political Science, and Economics.
