Meet our new faculty
Dr. John Carlson: He will join the faculty as a new Assistant Professor in January 2008. His expertise is in experimental high energy physics and he will also begin work on physics education research when he joins the department.
David Powers: He is a medical physicist at Lutheran Hospital with a specialty in radiation oncology. He is teaching Physics 2020 - College Physics II.
Dr. Eric Hunter: He is a research scientist at the National Ceter for Voice and Speech located across the street at DCPA. His interests are in speech and musical acoustics. He teaches Physics 3620 - Sound and Music.
Dr. Richard Geyer: He is an Associate Professor of Physics and Mathematics at Colorado Christian University and a former research scientist at NIST. He is teaching Physics 1000 online course and may become a researcher in our department.
A New Online CAREER Resource Coming Soon
Work Study Jacob Britton is doing a special project for the department that is very exciting and soon will be just a click away. He is building a list, by industry, of companies in Colorado that are related to/or within the field of Physics. The purpose is to create an online resource/internet web address book that UCD Physics Majors can use to find employment in Colorado after graduation.
