GRADUATE PROGRAMS:
Financial Information
What is the tuition?
Graduate tuition and fees are posted on the UC Denver registrar's web site. Click here for College of Liberal Arts rates.
What about financial aid?
The University of Colorado Denver administers various forms of financial aid for graduate students: fellowships, scholarships, and a number of awards from outside agencies. Graduate students wishing to apply for these or long-term loans should visit the Office of Financial Aid website.
Teaching Assistantships
The Psychology Department offers assistantships each year in such courses as Introductory Psychology, Statistics, Research Methods, and Human Development. Although we do not guarantee TA positions, we generally have been able to offer positions to most of our interested students. The assistantships usually entail a 10-hour/week commitment and pay a moderate stipend (approximately $3,069 per semester, before taxes). You will be given the opportunity to notify the Program Director of the Clinical Psychology MA Program of your interest in a teaching assistantship after you have been accepted into the program.
Research Assistantships
Contingent upon the availability of grant money, faculty may offer part-time research assistantships to qualified students. The typical RA position involves data collection and analysis, library research, etc. Some computer and statistical skills are usually required. RA positions are less available than TA positions, and they may arise on very short notice.
In-state tuition waivers and additional stipend monies may be available for doctoral students.
Please note: Neither teaching nor research assistantships confer in-state tuition status or include tuition waivers.
Is housing available?
Both on-campus and off-campus housing are available on or near the downtown Denver campus. Further information can be found here.
