The Scientific Study of Behavior

Psychology as a discipline is an extremely broad field. While consistently focused on the individual, it deals with everything from brain and neurologic functions to social and environmental influences on behavior and thought.

Here at UC Denver, our undergraduate programs cover aspects of all the following:

  • Experimental psychology
  • Biopsychology
  • Animal behavior
  • Developmental psychology
  • Social psychology
  • Cognitive Psychology
  • Personality
  • Industrial/organizational psychology
  • Abnormal psychology

As a foundation, the programs also include an early exposure to research methods and statistics.

Experiential learning opportunities

Internships

An intership, co-op, or service learning opportunity increases your learning and chances of entering a job or graduate school. These opportnunies, typically completed during the junior or senior year, are available through the Internship and Experiential Learning Center. Interships are recommended for BA majors and are required for BS majors.

Student Research
