Administration - Personnel
One of the strengths of the Shared Analytical Services Laboratory is the diverse training and background of the SASL personnel and associated faculty. These varied backgrounds foster a true multi-disciplinary approach to many analytical problems, as well as much of our research. This page provides a listing of the laboratory personnel and associated faculty, along with a description of their research interests. Where possible, links have been provided to either the members web-page, or to a page more fully describing their research interests and publications.
These links and pages are published and updated as they are supplied by the faculty members.
SASL Personnel -
Dr. Dave Albeck, Assoc. Professor, Psychology, UCDHSC-Downtown Campus.
Dr. Albeck's research interests include the behavioral and neurophysiological effects of aging, and non-invasive strategies to enhance neurotrophin expression and cognitive function in animal models of aging.
Dr. Larry G. Anderson, Professor, Chemistry, UCDHSC-Downtown Campus.
Dr. Anderson's current research interests include atmospheric and air pollution chemistry, ambient atmospheric measurements and data analysis, developing new atmospheric measurement techniques and atmospheric modeling.
Dr. Timberley Roane, Assoc. Professor, Biology, UCDHSC-Downtown Campus.
Dr. Roane's current research focuses on how microorganisms respond to environmental stressors, e.g., heavy metals and pesticides, in order to identify methods for chemical detoxification. Additional research includes the characterization of microbial communities associated with different environmental systems.
Jeff Boon, Shared Analytical Services Laboratory, UCDHSC-Downtown Campus.
As Laboratory Manager, most of Jeff's time involves the operation of the lab, but in his free-time he works on the design and construction of analytical instrumentation in support of te faculty research interests.
