Abstract

This paper gathers learning and insights from the efforts of non-government organizations in the Philippines to involve children in organizational processes, particularly in situational analysis, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. It discusses relevant issues and challenges that adults and children encounter in integrating children’s participation in programming such as defining participation, representation, adult and child partnership and roles, the extent and form of children’s participation in programming, gender issues, policy issues, and sustainability issues. The paper stresses the importance of dialogue, planning, and feedback from both adults and children.
