Description: Concerned with the underlying biological and cultural determinants of health throughout the human life cycle in cross-cultural perspective. This is the first of the two-course sequence in medical anthropology. The second is ANTH 4020, Comparative Health Systems.

Prerequisites: Introductory courses in biological and cultural anthropology.
