Community Council
The Community Council is CVA’s organizing group, here to make your college experience first class. Every resident is a member and has both the right and the responsibility to assist in creating the type of community you wish to live in.
There are many different ways you can choose to get involved in your Community from attending events to serving in a leadership position on the Community Council or Conduct Board. Getting involved is a great way to enhance both your college experience and your resume.

Student Conduct Board
The Student Conduct Board has jurisdiction to hear and resolve cases involving students alleged of violating a Housing Regulation. Members of the board will undergo training to help develop the skills necessary for the position.
The role of the Board is to: (1) determine the facts of the case (what happened according to the complainant, respondent and witnesses); (2) decide whether these facts constitute a violation according to the University Housing regulations; and (3) if a violation is found, recommend a reasonable sanction. Applicants for the SCB must be full time students that will be living on campus for the 2007-2008 Academic Year. A grade point average of at least 2.5 is strongly recommended.

UCD Program Board
A Program Board is a group of students who plan campus events. These events can be anything from comedy, music, lectures, films, open mic nights, poetry slams, dances, gameshows or whatever the group comes up with. A great way to get experience in event planning, graphic design, orgainzing teams, web design and other real-world skills.
