eLearning: Admissions Process
Application
To become involved in the eLearning Design and Implementation (eDI) Masters program or the Designing eLearning Environments (DeE) Certificate program, you need to submit a Graduate School application packet with application fee by the appropriate deadline:
| Application Deadline | |
| August (Fall semester) start |
May 15th -- applications received by May 15th will be given priority consideration, but we will continue to review applications received up through June 15th |
| January (Spring semester) start Note: the January 2008 cohort is now full. We are currently accepting applications for the August 2008 cohort. | November 15th |
The School of Education and Human Development uses a single-packet admissions process: you collect all your admissions materials and deliver a single, complete packet to Student Services. You can download a pdf version of the application materials from the School of Education and Human Development Web site. Directly above the application materials in the last row of the Admission/Application Procedure table is some additional important admissions information. Use the appropriate checklist available in the last row of the table to help guide your application process.
Here are the steps to follow:
- Contact Joni Dunlap (Joni.Dunlap@cudenver.edu), the Program Coordinator. Ask her to add you to the up-coming program list (a limited number of people can join the program, so getting on Joni's list is very important). Be sure to let her know if you are an international student (see the third bullet below for more information about this).
- Submit a Graduate School application packet with $50 fee by the appropriate deadline (see above).
- If you are an international student, you will need to work initially with the Office of International Education to apply. See http://thunder1.cudenver.edu/InternationalAdmissions/ and specifically the How to Apply > Information for Graduate / Doctorate Students link to a PDF document available from the navigation bar on the left side of the OIE Web site. The application fee for international students is $75.
- Note: graduates of the old WLE program have a different set of application requirements. Be sure to examine the "ILT eLearning WLE Alumni Checklist" link in the last row of the Admission/Application Procedure table.
Course Registration
Joni will forward to you the necessary course registration information for each course (when it is time to register) once your application has been processed and you are accepted to the program.
