eLearning: Costs

Costs for 2008-09 Cohorts:

  • 2008 - 2009 Tuition: Colorado residents -- $2,094 per 6 credit hours (the typical number of credits per semester); out-of-state students pay 5% more -- $2,196 per 6 credit hours.
Note: If you are residing in Colorado, but are not yet a resident of Colorado, please contact the Program Coordinator, Joni Dunlap, immediately for your tuition rate.
  • 2008- 2009 University Fees: an online course fee of $100 for each course, $125.00 for out-of-state students, an $18 per semester School of Education Fee, a $2 per credit hour Student Information System fee, and an $8 per credit hour information technology fee.
  • eLearning track students beginning the ILT program in August 2008 or after will also be required to pay a one-time fee of $175 for inclusion in the LiveText assessment system.
  • Software: You will use the Adobe Creative Suite 3 "Web Standard" bundle in many of the courses in the program. Once you join the program, you will be able to purchase the CS3 Web Standard bundle via an educational software reseller. Since this Web authoring software is not used until the second course (IT 5670), please wait to purchase the software until instructed to do so by the program coordinator. The cost of this software through academic pricing is typically around $400.
    Note
: If you will use the Adobe software for commercial purposes purchase the commercial version, not the educational version. The commercial version of the CS3 Web Standard bundle sells for around $1,000.
  • Books (each course typically requires at least one or two books) - you will be informed about which books to purchase via email once you join the program.
  • Visit our "Technology Requirements" page to make sure you have the necessary technologies to successfully complete course work.

This program is a graduate-level program in the School of Education and Human Development, so the costs are based on that School's tuition schedule.
