MSRA Current Students

ADVISING

All MSRA students are encouraged to seek advising. 

For academic advising (curriculum, degree progress, credits remaining, etc.), students should consult Karin Hunter at karin.hunter@cudenver.edu, 303-556-8302; ARTS 177.  Advising is available by appointment, phone or email. 

For specific questions related to your industry, field, facilities, equipment, or thesis/portfolio topic, students should consult their faculty mentor. 

Students just beginning the program may consult the faculty advisor: Leslie Gaston (leslie.gaston@cudenver.edu). 

DEGREE AUDIT

The MSRA program degree audits are available on-line.  Degree Audit is a tool that students can use to track their degree progress.  This tool should be used with your advisor, and is not considered official without your advisor’s approval. 

How to access your Degree Audit:

1.  Go to www.cudenver.edu

2.  Click on Registrar

3.  Log-on to SMART system.

4.  Click on Records

5.  Click on DegreeProgress

6.  Keep the default settings for AcademicUnit, Type of Report and SelectProgram.

7.  Use the 2nd pull-down menu to choose your Program

         (“Recording Arts-MS”)

8.  Select the catalog year that you started

9.  Click submit – this will bring up your personalized Degree Audit.

Scroll through to track your progress in each of the main areas of the Recording Arts degree:

  • Required Courses
  • Electives
  • Thesis/Portfolio

For additional reference, students may use the current MSRA advising sheet to track their progress. All MSRA courses, and any electives taken outside the Department to be used towards degree progress, must be completed with a B/3.0 or better.  Students who earn grades lower than B/3.0 (including B-/2.7) in any course intended to be used towards degree progress will be required to re-take the course.

GRADUATION

  • All students must apply to graduate. 
  • Graduation applications are available in ARTS 177.
  • Graduation applications are due by 5pm on the drop/add deadline of the semester in which they intend to graduate.
