Outcomes Assessment

Welcome to the UCD Outcomes Assessment Website

This website is intended to support UCD faculty and administrators in putting into place an effective outcomes assessment system in all programs and courses across campus.

Outcomes Assessment refers to the process of

  1. identifying high-quality student learning outcomes (especially at the program level),
  2. assessing these learning outcomes through a variety of sound assessments, and
  3. using the assessment information to improve programs and advance student learning.

Benefits of outcomes assessment, in addition to meeting the requirements of higher education accreditation, include more effective programs and enhanced student learning.

As part of the university’s accreditation process, all programs are requested to submit two brief reports–a “planning” report and a “results” report—to the Outcomes Assessment Committee each year (to kenneth.wolf@cudenver.edu). The “planning” report is due each year on November 30th and the “results” report is due each year on April 30th. For further information go to the links for “Planning Reports” and “Results Reports.”
