We are extremely pleased to announce the selection of the 2006/7 PERISHIP Fellows in Hazards, Risk, and Disasters!! The 2004 fellowships were funded by the National Science Foundation, which established the program. In 2006, Swiss Re sponsored 2 fellowships for work in the physical sciences and the National Science Foundation and provided funding for 6 fellowships across all disciplines for work in any relevant field of the natural and physical sciences, social and behavioral sciences, specialties in engineering, or interdisciplinary programs, such as environmental studies.
