We are extremely pleased to announce the selection of the 2008/9 PERISHIP Fellows in Hazards, Risk, and Disasters!! The 2004 fellowships were funded by the National Science Foundation, which established the program. In 2006, 2008, and 2009, Swiss Re sponsored 2 fellowships for work in the physical sciences and the National Science Foundation and provided funding the remaining fellowships across all disciplines for work in any relevant field in the natural and physical sciences, social and behavioral sciences, engineering, or interdisciplinary programs, such as environmental studies.
