DESCRIPTION & PURPOSE

In the beginning there were two, Michael Running Wolf and Jim Nelson, who identified a need within themselves and future Indian students. In 1970 they joined together to make goals and purposes of recruiting and helping other Indians through services that would be provided by a student organization fun by students.
We have grown and changed under numerous and varied leaderships, since that small, but significant start.
The Native American Student Organization has always kept in mind the original concepts mand goals of those two young men, students helping students.
In their honor we didcate this publication to the many indivuals that will follow.
