EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

22 members make up UCDSGA's Executive Council, including the President, Vice-President, Chief Justice, Director of Legislative Affiars, Director of Financial Affairs, Director of Public Relations, and the various justices, senators, and SACAB representatives. We work together to strive for one common purpose--serving the student body here at The University of Colorado Denver.

JUDICIAL COUNCIL

Judicial Council oversees all activities of the UCDSGA and ensures that the implementation of our policies and legislation coincide with the interests of UC-Denver students, UC-Denver policies and procedures, and local, state, and federal laws. Judicial Council is also responsible for deciding all matters involving interpretation of the UCDSGA Constitution and for the oversight and certification of the student election.

LEGISLATIVE

The Legislative Committee serves as an advisory committee for the UCDSGA, and assists in the formation of UCDSGA Bylaws, journals and labels UCDSGA legislation, proposes procedure for the drafting and implementation of policy, and ensures the UCDSGA complies with university policies and local, state, and federal laws.

FINANCE-FUNDING BOARD

Finance Board will make every attempt to ensure that student life on campus is enhanced and sustained. Cultural programmatic and recreational activity, as well as informative and support services on campus, are encouraged and cultivated for the enhancement of the general student body.

STUDENT FEE REVIEW COMMITTEE

The purpose of this Committee is to make recommendations, to appropriate university authorities, about the level and distribution of student fees and about the designation of activities to receive student fee support.  In making its recommendations, the Committee's ultimate standard is the welfare of the student body.  Since its special area of responsibility is fiscal, the Committee has the obligation to develop and maintain policies and procedures that assure a responsible level of management and review of student fees.

PUBLIC RELATIONS

The Public Relations Committee serves as a liaison between the UCDSGA and the student body at large and oversees the publication and distribution of the online UC-Denver Student Handbook and Student Government newsletter.  Public Relations also publicizes the UCDSGA general election and reports pertinent Student Government activities, events, and forums to the university’s paper and other school media.

SACAB

The Student Advisory Committee to the Auraria Board (SACAB) is comprised of student representatives elected from all three institutions, including the Community College of Denver (CCD), Metropolitan State College of Denver (Metro State), and the University of Colorado Denver, Downtown Denver (UCD).

Meetings are held every Friday afternoon at 2:30 pm in the Tivoli Student Union, Suite 329 (Senate Chambers), and are open to the student public. ASSOCIATED STUDENTS OF COLORADO

The Associated Students of Colorado (ASC) was established to serve all students of higher education institutions by advocating for affordable, accessible, high quality higher education in the State of Colorado. The ASC represents students on issues affecting them as students, and works on such issues on a selective, limited basis to be determined by the Board of Directors.
