The Writing Center provides one-on-one assistance to undergraduate and graduate students from the Anschutz Medical Campus. In the Center, trained graduate consultants offer help with writing of all kinds, including essays, proposals, dissertations, resumes, and scholarship applications.
Writing Center sessions are intended to help you become a better writer. While we usually help with a particular composition, our goal is to teach writers skills that will strengthen their writing abilities.

Please note that Writing Center services are fluid, meaning that AMC students can visit the DDC Writing Center and vice versa.
What You Can Expect:
Our services include one-on-one and small group writing consultations in areas such as:
- Generating, organizing and developing ideas
- Establishing effective proof reading skills
- Analysis, synthesis and argument
- Summary, paraphrase and documentation
- Understanding error pattern analysis
- Information literacy and research strategies
How To Prepare For a Consultation:
To ensure a productive session, please bring all relevant materials and documents to your session. This may include assignment descriptions, syllabi, class notes, instructor comments and your piece of writing (if you've started).
